The picture of Sammy with his United States flag shirt was taken in China towards the end of our stay. It was taken at the White Swan Hotel on the "red couch". This hotel has had LOTS of adoption families stay or pass through. The couch is kinda famous in the Chinese adoption world.
Sammy is adjusting so quickly! After the first week of struggling to sleep, our big boy now sleeps soundly through the night making Mama and Baba VERY happy. God continues to answer prayers. I am amazed at how God put this boy with our family. He is just fabulous. He is so eager to learn and every morning he brings us his book of everyday words and points to pictures of things he wants to know in English. The phone rang yesterday and he pointed to it, looked at me and said "telephone" very matter of factly. He also looked at a picture of himself yesterday and said his first sentence "this is Sammy" and pointed to himself. Sniff, it makes a Mom so proud!
Here are some likes and dislikes:
Dislikes: loud noises, naps, dark rooms, disarray, pineapple, tomato and being told no.
Likes: baths, swinging, bubbles, EATING, his family, photos, jumping, chocolate, bananas, ice cream (just like Mom) and BBQ (just like Dad). He is very cuddly, likes to sing and dance and doesn't care much for TV (so far). He also likes it when I do his hair which makes me very happy!
